Data collection and processing

Every time a web page or file of Quantum Flagship is accessed, the following data are recorded and saved until regular, automatic deletion:

  • Date and time
  • IP address of the accessing programme
  • Address of our web server
  • Accessed file (accessing address)
  • HTTP status code
  • Volume of transferred data (bytes)
  • Referring address, if available
  • Browser type, if available
  • Operating system

This data is processed for the purpose of enabling use of the website (connection establishment), system security, technical administration of the network infrastructure and optimisation of the internet offering. The IP address is only evaluated in the event of attacks on the network infrastructure of the Quantum Flagship website.

The website of the Quantum Flagship uses session cookies. A cookie is a text file that is sent to every visitor of the website. The cookie is saved temporarily on your hard drive. When you open the website again, the browser sends the cookie back to the server. This procedure allows the server to analyse the received information, which facilitates easier navigation of the website, among other things. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. It is possible to disable the use of cookies in the settings of your browser. Deactivating cookies can limit the functionality of this website.

Personal Data

The protection of personal data is important to us. When you communicate with Quantum Flagship, the personal data transferred in the process is used for the specified purposes only. However, we would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) has security gaps and cannot be completely protected against access by third parties. Personal data transmitted by you will only be used within our project. No data will be passed on to third parties. In the event that personal data is collected, we will always provide you with information about the stored data upon request. If you wish your personal data to be deleted or changed, please send an e-mail to info@qt.eu.

Information on data transfer to the USA

Among other things, tools from companies based in the USA are integrated into our website. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country in terms of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to release personal data to security authorities without you as the person concerned being able to take legal action against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. secret services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your data on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

Where this is possible and reasonable, we prefer contractual partners who use servers in the European Union or other safe countries for our data in accordance with the EU data protection level or agree standard contractual clauses with us that exclude data transfer to US security authorities that does not conform to EU law.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, which are text files that get stored on your computer in order to analyse your usage of the website. The information that the cookie gathers about your usage of this website gets usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.

This website has IP anonymisation activated. This means that Google shortens your IP address before transmission whenever you visit this website from inside a member state of the European Union and any other country that is contracting party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. In exceptional cases, the full IP address gets transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google uses this information by order of the website operator to analyse your usage of this website, compile reports on the website activities and provide further services in relation to website usage and internet usage to the website operator. Google does not consolidate the IP address, that your browser transmits as part of Google Analytics, with other data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by changing the settings of your browser software; please be advised, however, that this might inhibit you from using the full function spectrum of this website.

There are two other options to prevent cookies from collecting data about your usage of this website (incl. your IP address) and transmitting them to Google as well as the processing of those data by Google:

1. Download and install the opt-out browser add-on provided by Google.

2. Set the so-called opt-out cookie provided by Google. You can set the cookie by clicking on the link Deactivate Google Analytics. Please note that clicking on this link the opt-out option will immediately be installed in your browser. You will get no further reply.

We also refer to the latest information on the terms of use and data protection by Google.
